Carrie Hearne 10/20/2016 1:07 PMWorking from home today, and took the dog out on a walk. It started POURING down the rain, and I ended up totally soaked. But I loved every moment of being out in the elements, fully aware of my surroundings. -
Carrie Hearne 10/20/2016 1:06 PMThis whole no-buying thing is a real challenge! I've slipped up once so far and bought a tube of lip stick at New Seasons. Totally didn't need that either! : / -

Carrie Hearne 10/01/2016 6:28 PMI've decided to set my EcoChallenge to goals that relate to my health and happiness, particularly around diet and simplicity. For one, I've realized retail marketing has gotten the better of me, clogging my inbox, popping up in online ads, and sucking me in through features like Amazon's "Buy now with 1-click." Both diet and shopping are items that will test my willpower. Both will help me develop a higher consciousness in my day to day actions, supporting a more sustainable lifestyle, a healthier planet, and a happier existence. I will only buy items that are absolutely necessary for my health and safety (and school, should that arise).
