What a wonderful experience this has been--I don't ever want to go back to the way things were!

I haven't driven in two days and now I can't remember where I parked my car!

When I choose to walk, I make that decision to walk regardless of what's going on in the world around me.  The number one thing I learned from the eco-challenge? Always bring a rain coat.

Sometimes the bus costs $2.50, but the earth thanks me. Now that's a trade off I can get with!

The miles really add up when you're showing someone around a new place.  Mile 2: look at that squirrel stealing a piece of stale bread from the hand of an unconscious homeless person.  Mile 4: is that a whale or a piece of garbage floating out there in the Sound?  Mile 8: did that guy just vomit in a trashcan outside of a luggage store? yes, garbage and yes.

Right now I'm sitting mostly in the dark. Candle power, anyone?

Reading on the bus takes me to a place thousands of miles away.  Can't do that in a car!
