I switched to cold water for this eco challenge and over the weekend, I noticed the wash cycles were much shorter without the need of hot water. My washer is already an energy star, but I liked the shorter wash cycle! -

Go EC! I am new, but this Eco Challenge is such a great idea! Just by joining the website and reading all the challenges, there are plenty of opportunities to learn something new about being energy efficient, eco friendly, or just a better human being with a better carbon footprint. Reading and seeing all the ways that people are reducing their carbon footprint is inspiring and a step in the right direction.-
