    I did *not* manage to dig up my tiny lawn in time for the challenge, but maybe I can get 5 points for writing this post about it.

    Added mulch around a tree and a few beloved shrubs in my yard. Conserves water, protects the plants, and looks much nicer too! (Also communicates to any skeptics that yes, these little shrubs are intentional, and no, they are not dead.) Go Hacker Honey Badgers go!

    After a year+ of making excuses and putting it off, the promise of earning points for EcoChallenge has inspired me to finally say good-bye to the useless, water-wasting grass in my front yard. Digging in the cold and rain, here I come. Challenge accepted!
