For this last day of the challenge, I find myself in a challenging setting. I'm visiting my family and thus don't have much of the infrastructure I've amassed to be able to be green. For example, at my house I have buckets and catches in my kitchen and bathroom sinks to collect greywater to flush the toilet or water the garden. While I could attempt to find similar technology here, the culture does not accommodate such changes. I'm looked at as weird because right now I'm not drinking water from a bottle or chowing on breakfast from a paper plate. So, to be green in this environment I have to be sneaky. Like, pee on the bushes and dig out recyclables from the trash sneaky. Let's see how I do!

Have been taking less showers. Not too bad...listening to my body and I feel like I need less. Also, am inspired by a friend who no longer takes showers, just wash clothe bathes.

For my workplace garden, some of our garden beds are under an overhang and do not receive winter rain. So! I've been putting our watering cans under drippy spots from our roof to collect water for the plants that regularly someone would get faucet water for.

A big part of my means to save water today was to use a community bath instead of my home individual bath. My jobs are very physical, on top of biking to where I need to be, so my body has been super sore and I was intent on soaking to help my muscles. Instead of soaking in my home bath, I went to Common Ground and used a community bath house. While I had a free pass, I would gladly spend the money toward a more sustainable system.

Just selected a few challenges. The hard one will be to power down my computer - I often forget when going to bed, although I'm the most on it in the office!
