My challenge of writing letters was a very real one for me.  I am happy with my progress and happy this was an option because system change is essential for Earth health.  I appreciate NWEI for the EcoChallenge; for creating a virtual community of individual teams and a regionalcommunity of teams that come together to inspire and encourage one another. I plan to be back with an even larger First Unitarian Church team next year!

Had only two meals today,  both meatless.  I also had the best Eggplant Parmesan with risotto at Bird And Bear Restsurant using my Chinook Book.  For my final letter,  I wrote Wasco County Commissioners asking them to reverse the approval of rail expansion in Mosier.  Outside  1.5 hours enjoying raking up fall leaves.

I didn't write a letter today sad to say.   I wrote to Hillary Clinton yesterday to encourage her to support a carbon fee and have received two responses (should I say form lettters) as a result of my letter writing.  Very sad to see the Standing Rock Protest events today.  Enjoyed my 30 minutes outside.

A wonderful hour long walk enjoying the fall leaves and another 1.5 hours in the yard raking those leaves.  Perfect.

I took a good long walk and eating two meatless meals was easy.  I am afraid my letter writing was weak.  Signed a Credo petition was all.  I will do better tomorrow.

I enjoyed the Sunset and the rainbow tonight while walking on the Reed track.  My mother joined to day too.  Never to old at 92.
My letter was  to Werner Baumann CEO of Bayer to tell them to stop their merger with Monsanto.

Traded my letter writing for helping to host Bill McKibben today at the church.  Thanks to Bill for coming and 350.pdx for a great night.

Walking around the yard with the rake was my hour outside.  Loved having it dry enough for that.
