Challenges going well. Not really sure what to blog about anymore! I feel well adjusted to my challenges.

Today has been good. I realized I've been buying individual yogurts compared to buying a large bin and separating that out each day. I will stop doing this!

nearing the end of the challenge and I'm starting to wonder if the water waste from washing dishes is better than throwing away plastic bags? I've always assumed so but never looked into it. I will be doing some research later! Otherwise, things are going great and I feel so organized.

I have been doing some research on compost only. I am not sure if I have the time commitment for this. However, I would really like to start buying this with less packaging and prioritizing bulk items.

Today was good! I ordered take out and noticed how much extra paper waste it was compared to eating in.

Unfortunately I got really bad food poisoning and ended up in the ER today. It has been simple to limit my social media time and complete my other challenges because I was resting all day. That being said, while I was in the ER I noticed how much waste they produce. Everything is wrapped in many layers of paper and plastic to keep things clean. The room itself has paper and plastic they take down between people. This seems somewhat necessary  for health reasons but I do wonder how well they are able to recycle these materials and if that is taken into consideration.

I am lucky to work at a place that values recycling, so sorting through paper, glass, etc. is quite easy in the office. At home it is much harder and I have to make a commitment to myself to doing it. So far so good.

I've been very successful in only eating out of reusable containers. However, today I went out for dinner. Because of this challenge I am very aware of the paper and plastic waste that goes along with eating out. I am unsure how to eliminate this. I am trying to get things " for here" rather than " to go".  This can help avoid the paper waste that comes with take out. Otherwise, choosing restaurants that have a commitment to sustainability.
