Cora Legge 10/14/2016 11:33 AMMy first approach to not using Dixie plates has been challenging, but putting plates into a sink with some water seems to work for me, at least right now. Having the vendi cup seems to have caught on. I notice some of the ladies at the office now use refillables instead of the Styrofoam cups and glasses. And brushing my teeth without running water will be a habit going forward. So far, so good:) -
Cora Legge 9/09/2016 10:46 AMLast year I did really good by not using the disposable coffee cups here at the office and brought a mug from home. This year, I am giving up the bottled water and have installed a water filter on my faucet at home and use a venti sized cold beverage container for water at work. BUT... my biggest challenge will be to not use paper plates in lieu of regular plates. I am not so sure I can give up my pretty little Dixie plates, because it is so much easier to toss them away (yup, I admit to being hooked on convenience) than hand wash my dishes (not enough to use the dishwasher). My final challenge is to turn off the tap while I brush my teeth.
