EVERYONE should visit a landfill at least once, and it would be a great activity for a Girl or Boy Scout troop.  From the road the landfill looks so beautiful and green, but once you get past the gate and into where the garbage is being collected it will open your eyes.  Inspires me to recycle every time we go.  (to dump our yard waste)

Not as hard as it appears for a 2 person household, and by using fresh vegetables, there was only the packaging that our meat came in as non-food waste.

It was nice, the fridge was far less overcrowded with 'extras'

We had ripe Quince from a tree on our property and had never done anything with it in previous years.  This year we canned it.  Based on the texture and flavor, we will try this in place of Orange Sauce with Chicken.
