Stacy Rutherford 10/28/2016 6:57 PMWatching Forks Over Knives and learning so much about how animal based diets affect our health. I'll definitely be doing more after watching! -
Stacy Rutherford 10/28/2016 6:56 PMIt was a beautiful day today! Took advantage by reading outside at lunch and walking around town. -
Stacy Rutherford 10/28/2016 8:19 AMOur house has a large green bin, and we'd started composting a while back, but didn't keep it up. The eco challenge inspired me to get back to work on composting all our food waste. We keep a bowl in the freezer, and dump that into the green bin when it gets full. The freezer keeps the stink at bay, and now we don't have an excuse not to compost! -
Stacy Rutherford 10/26/2016 1:13 PMAll I want to do is curl up and take a nap today with this mid-week grey weather, but instead I went for a walk on my lunch break. The fresh air woke me up for a minute, but at this point, only caffeine will do the trick. -
Stacy Rutherford 10/25/2016 9:29 AMWalking more is made easier when there's an accident in your neighborhood, a traffic jam due to said accident, which all forces your bus to stop really far away from your stop! Had a longer-than-usual walk through St Johns yesterday - the trees lining the park are all yellow, and the sky was yellow & grey - looked like fire! -
Stacy Rutherford 10/24/2016 8:15 AMDid two loads of laundry yesterday with cold water to conserve energy. Unfortunately, I share a washer with 3 other people who live in the other units of our house, and I can't control how they do their laundry! -
Stacy Rutherford 10/24/2016 8:12 AMI was sick over the weekend, and just not feeling up for a lot of walking outdoors. I'll try to get back in the swing today! -
Stacy Rutherford 10/22/2016 6:43 PMOver the past year I've been clearing out toxic cleaning and beauty products from our home, but there's still work to do. I've made a list of items to replace with natural options once the ones I have already are used up. It seems wasteful to just toss them!-
Chris Kane 10/22/2016 6:56 PMStacy, when you finish up the products you have in the house you should consider making some of your own. Most of them are easy to make and you know exactly what's in them, not to mention the fact that they are way cheaper than anything you will purchase in a store.

Stacy Rutherford 10/21/2016 2:04 PMI know I'll be busy tonight, so I walked around downtown on my lunch break. Hoping the little bit of exercise & fresh air helps heal this post-travel head cold I've got! -
Stacy Rutherford 10/21/2016 8:14 AMTook the long way home from the bus stop yesterday - the fall colors are looking beautiful in my neighborhood!
