Awesome timing today.  It stopped raining, so I dashed out for my mid-day walk.  The rain came back literally 100' from the door on the return trip!  What luck!

Today is turning out to be a really nice day for my mid-day walk.  Looking forward to a (hopefully) dry walk at lunch.

Cycling is a great sport, but the rain can make it dangerous.  Yesterday I heard of a friend who had a very bad accident on some light rail tracks.  So, here are a few tips about crossing tracks:
    • Always cross at a 90-degree angle (never slide across parallel)
    • When tracks are wet, they are like greased ice--amazingly slippery
    • If your daily route has a section of track, try to find an alternate route--the extra couple of minutes added are worth your safety
    • Lastly--always ride defensively on the roads--especially during commuting
Stay safe and enjoy the ride.  Well wishes to CB!
