I can't believe how hard it is to shower less than 5 minutes.

I found it helpful to smush the shampoo and conditioner together in my hands and spread it through my dry hair before I turn the water on. I have short hair but it works great to reduce the time in the shower.

Not sure if this counts as a "cheat" or not, but you could try military showers. You run water just long enough to get wet, stop the flow, soap and scrub, resume water flow and finish showering. The water is running five minutes or less, but the person is usually in the tub about ten minutes total. They even sell shower heads specifically designed for this so you don't have to readjust the temperature when turning the water back on.
