Paul Ventura 10/29/2016 3:56 PMI'm very pleased with how I did in the Challenge this year. I learned that there are many actions I can take everyday that don't add extra time, aren't more expensive. and aren't a drag to do. In fact, taking shorter showers allows me MORE time to do what I want; using reusable beverage containers SAVES me money; and eating organic food and spending more time exploring new trails gives me GREATER joy and LESS stress. Thank you, NWEI for providing the space and encouragement to make healthy changes. -
Paul Ventura 10/28/2016 9:45 PMThis has been an excellent challenge. To be honest, some of the actions were easy, like avoiding bottle water. Others were more of a stretch, like keeping showers short. But I'm happy with what I've accomplished and I know what I've done will continue beyond these two weeks, -
Paul Ventura 10/24/2016 8:34 AMSo pleased that I was able to replace my bulbs with LEDs. The light is even better for reading. -

Paul Ventura 10/19/2016 9:41 AMLauren is setting a blistering pace for our team and for the thousands of other participants in this challenge. I'm learning a lot by reading how she and others are meeting your daily challenges. I love the idea of the engraved mason jar mugs. I made some blackberry jam this summer and can't wait to finish it so I can drink from the jar! -
Paul Ventura 10/14/2016 8:08 PMI'm so impressed with the variety of challenges and actions chosen by my teammates. I'm eager to see how our collective impact can make a lasting difference! -
Paul Ventura 10/14/2016 8:07 AMAs the weather here cools, I'm keeping my thermostat below 65 -- preferably no higher than 62 -- and wearing a light sweater or sweatshirt in the house. I also turn the thermostat below 60 when I'm gone during the day and overnight. -
Paul Ventura 10/13/2016 1:13 PMI've set-up a small timer in my bathroom for my showers. I've already gotten down to just over 6 minutes and am confident I'll bust that 5-minute mark! I also have a shower head that will stop the flow of water while shampooing. That will help, too! -
Paul Ventura 8/23/2016 3:15 PMJust got my co-workers to create a team for our staff. We're building multiple ACHS teams to challenge one another. -
Paul Ventura 8/18/2016 3:57 PMI'm eager to focus my efforts on energy and water, reducing my utility costs and eco-footprint.
