I just won the Chinook Book app from NW Eco Challenge (ironic, since I can't buy anything but food and water)!

I purchased some cast iron table legs off of etsy to go with a gorgeous piece of wood that my father-in-law-law (? my sister-in-laws father) is going to make into a beautiful bench/shoe rack for our house. I couldn't resist!  Nice to support local craftsmen too.

Where I am having difficulty is when I 'need' to purchase services- like the use of a community center playground or a bowling alley for a birthday party. It's a different kind of consumption- more cooperative. So it feels legit. But is it?
