Danielle Womble 10/28/2016 8:02 AMLast day of the challenge my friends! The lady at Walgreens gave me the "you are a weirdo" look when I requested no bag please. Then I had to explain the challenge...but honestly I would have said it even if I wasn't doing a challenge. Cashiers are surprisingly really insistent about giving you a plastic bag. -
Danielle Womble 10/27/2016 8:11 AMLast Green Drinks meeting for 2016 last night! Thank you Mark Haley from Habitat for Humanity ReStore for sharing your moving and inspirational stories. Also we were successful in not wasting any food! Win-Win. -
Danielle Womble 10/26/2016 12:21 PMVery much wanted a Dutch Bros today but didn't have a clean reusable with me....so I held off. It makes it feel like a reward when I actually remember to bring a clean empty cup with me! -
Danielle Womble 10/25/2016 9:52 AMComposted banana peels and strawberries yesterday with a teachable moment for my daughter. Caught her right before she was going to throw them in the trash. Also shared my teams EcoChallenge success on FaceBook. If you haven't yet....spread the word! -
Danielle Womble 10/24/2016 8:04 AMVery proud that during my weekly shopping trip to Winco that I actually brought enough reusable bags with me. And I bagged my own groceries so it wasn't a burden on the cashier :) -
Danielle Womble 10/21/2016 12:19 PMEnjoying the EcoChallenge so far! Led 2 tours of the transfer station in the last 2 days and was able to really connect with some kids about recycling :) -

Danielle Womble 10/19/2016 10:43 AMWent shopping today with my reusable bags! go me!! Being diligent about the water conservation as well-this one is easy for me. Composting is going well and I just brought home a compost trouble shooting guide. -
Danielle Womble 10/18/2016 8:02 AMAll challenges completed yesterday. There was a gray line that I may have crossed on accepting a recyclable food tub for left over food from a restaurant. It wasn't Styrofoam though! My team is doing a great job and I am excited to see which habits stick with them after the challenge :)
