Finding ways to cook veggies I'm less than enthusiastic about-have learned to disguise kale in smoothies, soups, snacks, and sauces.

The only way to avoid disposables at the dining hall is to bring your own lunch or to order a small salad. At least my salad box was compostable!

This was a great way to push myself to try new foods and cook more. Also found vegetarian meals that I would actually choose to eat as part of my everyday menu.

I got a care package from PGE with light bulbs and shower heads. I don't like the lights, but I do like the power saving effects. And the shower heads are great.

The pledge to not use any disposables gets tricky when going to other events. I find carrying around a cup, spork and a napking easy enough, but avoiding boxed lunches and plates at events, birthday parties and the like are tricky. The weekend was full of birthday parties.
