    It's definitely hard to keep up with this stuff when you crash into a bit of a depression, but I'm doing good so far.  I have appreciated this have enjoyed this challenge greatly, and I look forward to taking it again next year. Thanks To Cory for sharing me with this chllenge.

    I continue to appreciate the challenges I am finding. Some will certainly be quite challenging (having a weekly menu when my meals repeatedly consist of week old ingredients thrown into the microwave) while others will be easy if I just take a moment to remember I need a moment for myself (15 minutes outside in gratitude).  I will continue to add as I find more that I can do, and as I discover more already selected that are  easy.

    Today, I decided upon these three things I am thankful for. Figured I'd share them. 
    • Being able to come home and see my cat
    • Finally sleeping long enough and deep enough that I was well rested
    • Having friends willing to be there when I need their help

    I sent an email to my first instructors here at Lane. It was very soothing and also bittersweet, as life has limited my ability to see them.  To often do I remember a face, or think of one I see everyday, and realize they will be gone. Some, it is obvious it will be sooner than most. Life is fleeting, and that fleeting both weighs upon my shoulders like a stone, and at the same time strengthens my resolve to end my   with many accomplishments.

    I recognize that having enough floor space to have a container garden indoors is a major privilege.  Not a great numger of people can say they have the means to have a winter garden inside their house. In light of this fact I spent some time mindfully attending the breath while feeling gratitude~ Quiet time sitting with plants can be great for relaxation.

    I hope you're as excited as I am to be committed to making real change a reality- in your personal sphere, and in this beautiful world we live in!
    One challenge I'm taking on this year is to finally cut the nasty behavior of cigarette smoking. So far, so good! I'm glad to say I've got a wonderful group of supporters willing to encourage me along the way.
    I've also set chunks of time into my daily schedule to engage in much more healthy "breathing rituals" than smoking a cigarette. I've been practicing better self-talk and making positive daily affirmations to get myself "in the zone".
    It sure can be difficult to change habits, eh?

    I am alumnus of the challenge, but haven't participated in the past couple of years. It feel really good to be back.
