PCC Eco Panthers Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

It's always validating to be made aware of what you are already doing to be a more eco-friendly individual & to be reminded of how the simplest of tasks can be incorporated into a daily routine to make one a better steward of this planet.

I still have a long way to go to eliminating the packing waste with my food purchases. It's a true life challenge and one that REALLY annoys me, so here's to keeping up the challenge until I've really made it happen in a significant way!

I walked one hour and 10 minutes with a friend (and her dog) who I hadn't seen in months. Then, we sat and talked for another three hours.  I was pleased this year to have three generations participating in the challenge on the PCC team. My mom chose to clear clutter. My older son, a former PCC student who now lives in Seattle , and my younger son, a current PCC student, chose 5-minute showers. Maybe next year I can get my husband on the team, too. He already commutes to work by bike over 100 days a year, but I'm sure we can find a good task for him. Hmmm.. maybe I can get us to work together on de-cluttering our home. Thank you EcoChallenge and all those involved for making this world a better place.

Some of these were bigger challenges than I was ready for, but I'll keep working on them!
