I finally got the Seafood Watch app., while I was in Atlanta Georgia for graduation in 2009, I went to the Aquarium and saw Grouper fish,  (*they are quite large and easy to catch) we learned they are being over harvested, in addition to learning it is a high demand consumer request but that they are headed for extinction because of our consumption.  It is just another reminder to be mindful of how and what we consume.

We have 2 large capacity (350 gallons) rain barrels near our barn that can collect water run off from the roof, this weekend I plan to evaluation and develop a plan on getting them up and "running" to capture the fruits of mother nature...next summer I will have dahlia gardens that will need irrigation and the stored rain water will be a great addition and save energy on our well water system.

I am excited to see how much we are able to support a eco friendly way of living in the coming weeks.  It is interesting how simple it will be to "shift" in learning to care for our environment for future generations.
