    Things I'm thankful for today:
    - a lovely fall day to run at the cross country course 
    - walking dogs and crunching leaves
    - my church family

    I've kept a thankfulness journal for a few years now, but I've recently I've neglected my previously-daily regimen of recording things in it daily. I pulled it out and wrote a few last night, and it was a delight. Almost at 6000! :)

    Today I went to Jungle Jim's and bought a bunch of veggies from the discounted section, thereby saving money and saving food from going to a landfill: eggplants for 40 cents, green peppers for 13 cents each, and nearly a pound of fresh ginger for $1 (:

    Today I took a walk in the Taylor Arboretum behind Randall. It was beautiful. Yellow hickory leaves blanketed the forest floor and the black raspberry leaves are turning a delightful shade of crimson :)

    Shout out to all the Sustainability Assistants for starting a compost collection at the Jumping Bean! I think all of us should get credit for that since it was a joint effort :)

    I did a hard-core room cleaning today! Sorted some items to donate in an effort to downsize. The real challenge will come when I drop off my items at Helping Hand, for I know I'll be tempted to look for yarn, knitting needles, and fleece pullovers.
