Well today is the last day, I wish I had done better, I hope I can next year.  I did get some good conversations going with people that did go and check their electric consumption.  My plan is to study those numbers monthly and see what I can do to make them lower.  

I bought my ticket today to attend the Simply Living Annual dinner and meeting on Thursday, November 10th with the extra treat of hearing the guest speaker, Frances Moore Lappe'.  

I posted my electricity usage on Facebook and challenged others to share their usage and compete with themselves to bring their usage down. Local NWEI classmate, Jake DaSilva, stated his usage was 7 KWH.  Those that know Jake know he is a minimalist!!!!!!  Now I am green with envy.  

I road my bike on the Olentangy Bike Trail 8.5 miles today, it was such a beautiful day.  I did come upon an accident that required an ambulance on the bike trail and it remained me how careful we need to be and reinforced why I wear my helmet. I wish more people would wear their helmet.

Here is my ecochallenge............I want to become more aware of the electricity I use.  I looked at my last statement and it states I used 361 KWH (this was actual, not estimated).  The same period last year I used 390. My average monthly usage is 387 KWH.  I am totally electric except for my heat, which is gas.  I am challenging myself to look at these figures monthly and try to decrease my usage.  I challenge my teammates to look at their electricity use and become more aware of your usage.  I have a Kill A Watt which I am happy to loan to anyone.  

I did not drive my car anywhere today, any place I went today, I walked.  It felt great.
