    Today I created my "custom Challenge" and Offer this to others who might be interested - COMMIT TO PURCHASE UGLY FRUIT AND VEGETABLES --- Retailers often reject or cull out perfectly good items just based on their less than perfect looks - see details here: http://www.endfoodwaste.org/ugly-fruit---veg.html When shopping at the store or farmer's market - I will deliberately buy some of the "ugly"

    On Sunday, just ahead of this weeks heavy rains, I added a fair amount of compost soil amendment to the base of my dawn redwood and also bark mulch to help reduce erosion - just in time:)
