    Its almost time to compost the garden. i will be hoping the weather dries out my leaves enought to rake over my flower beds and garden this week. Leaves make excellent bed cover from freezing temperatures, compost into your soils, and provide cover for insects, mice, gophers, etc in the winter....

    My recycle can is larger than my garbage can. I try to recyle as much stuff as my area recycles

    I am trying to make a habit of turning down my heat at night and when I am not home to 55-60. Its amazing the change in your power bill!

    My office has several printers that you have to go in and change your print setting for. I just automatically default my printing to two sided.

    I have a garden and picked my pumpkins, peppers, tomatoes, and tomatilos this week. I also picked apples from my neighbors tree.

    Its Make a Difference Day on Oct 22nd.  I plan to go out and help the BLM plant trees at Douglas Creek and connect a group of our local Hispanic folks along with Team Naturaleza to the shrub steppe and Columbia River basin ecosystem. I challenge you all to go make a difference this weekend!!
