Hmmm.  This rain garden thing is actually super complicated, time consuming, and expensive!  Thought I could just dig a hole.  So will have to postpone for spring/summer, I think.  Next -- to research rain barrels.

Really enjoying the ecochallenge.  Getting more exercise, and more awareness.  Find myself more tuned in to energy use and waste in general.

Fungus fungus fungus. Love thinking about the inter-connectivity of those who love our planet working together to make change.  We can be a blessing instead of a curse to our common community.  We can find joy in each others' company as we do it.  Talk about common ground!

Last Sunday as we celebrated St. Francis' Feast, I proclaimed that we are fungus!  Our actions are significant not because we are individually mighty, but because we are collectively servants of the planet and one another, part of an amazing, powerful healing web.  I am excited to be starting this adventure, and I challenge all members and friends of St. Stephen's to claim their fungal power.
