Lisaana Otter 10/28/2016 9:27 AMMade it to our final day! Arrived with an appreciation for some previously hidden means to be eco-aware in my daily life. Hope you each found value in the journey, too!-
Laurie Milliard 10/28/2016 11:07 AMWay to go, Lisaana! I have enjoyed reading about your upcycling tricks! Especially since they usually involve cats.

Lisaana Otter 10/27/2016 9:57 AMTiny upcycle - the broccolli was held together with a label that included a rubber ring. That label was clipped, the rubber ring was used as a rubber band around my hard boiled eggs to tote them to work. -
Lisaana Otter 10/26/2016 12:42 PMThe challenge has been an excuse to talk to others about why I took the challenge. Spreading the word! -
Lisaana Otter 10/25/2016 3:46 PMThe gray weather gets me down and makes me want to luxuriate in a too-long shower, and buy single-serving items to comfort myself. Silly. -
Lisaana Otter 10/24/2016 12:31 PMUpcycle trick of the day (a tiny one) - the yogurt foil came off the yogurt vat clean this morning. Tucked a good helping of catnip into the foil and squished it into the ball. Now to see if the cats like this upcycle.-
Lisaana Otter 10/26/2016 12:43 PMCats not fond of this catnip vehicle. Other uses of foil may be found.

Lisaana Otter 10/21/2016 5:33 PMFriday, Friday, Friday is my favorite day. Except when there are other days to be excited about. But, back to Eco-Challenge! Let's see, i'm upcycling my pop-top things from cat food cans to make chain maille decor, enjoying the reuse of fabric on clothes otherwise useless to make cat toys -
Lisaana Otter 10/20/2016 1:52 PMThursday - enjoy catching up with those who post. Your efforts also inspire my own. One self-set challenge I added to my list is to upcycle or recycle to new uses something each day. My favorites so far - upcycling a plastic jug into a scoop for cat litter, and using two cat food cans as wheel stops for my catio (a small, protected, outdoor space for my cats). -
Lisaana Otter 10/19/2016 8:44 AMWednesday! Shocking to realize how easy it is to buy single-use items. :( But, it's getting me to bake, cook, and bring my own containers. That's gotta be good on lots of levels, right? -
Lisaana Otter 10/17/2016 4:36 PMI chose three challenges for myself, but I notice that I'm looking at my life and habits more broadly than just the three challenges. For example, I received my water bill today. I notice that my water consumption is up quite a bit. I'll be checking for leaks at my house to see if I can control it that way, and also examine my habits (much as Nicki describes). Also enjoying reading my teammates posts! -
Lisaana Otter 10/14/2016 9:56 AMI spent the days before the challenging noticing where I use single-use items, and how often I connect to social media throughout the day. Feeling ready to make some adjustments! Good luck everyone.
