Rotary Club of Portland Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

It's been a fun time checking in and being accountable. It has gotten easier as I've gone. I'm not sure 2w is enough to form the habit. I still use the competitive nature of the team check in to keep me honest, but I'll keep doing these items.

I did my second 1-time thing last night. It was some learning, and now I can't stop thinking about it. I suppose that was the point, eh? :)

Bread heels! Our freezer has five or six bread bags with one or two heels. This morning I looked up multiple solutions to use them as human food vs food for the crows and jays. After examining the options, I went with crow and jay feed.

Happy rainy day! It feels good to be getting in the rhythm of these little actions.

Gonna have some leftovers for lunch. Now if I could just find a way to turn all those acorns outside into something tasty!  As it is, they'll just become compost.

I'm getting in a rhythm of this now... I do my actions along with my work email to start the day. Ezpz!

I'm super happy about my challenge choices today... I'm going through a rough patch. I gotta say... Doing the gratitude project has helped stabilize me. I know this will mostly pass by 12/1, but these next 5 weeks are going to be a ride. I'm terrified and excited. And, y'know... Thankful.

Loving this weather this weekend. Going beyond my challenge with not driving, yard work, etc. it's a successful day when the kids join in. Yay!

I won a chinook book for gathering points here! What a treat. :-) I haven't looked through it yet, but I will.

One of my goals is around gratitude. I am doing a daily gratitude project, but this challenge adds the additional "write a thank you note daily"... Today, I saw someone that I've been writing about in my gratitude journal, so I told him the thanks out loud and to his face. Not writing a note, but it was nice to do. I took credit for my writing a note. :)
