This was a fun way to look at my energy consumption and make more conscious decisions about it...clearly we can all reduce our consumption if we make it a priority and that's a hopeful thing in the context of climate change.  Thanks Sherry for your persistence and inspiration.

My challenge of writing letters was a very real one for me.  I am happy with my progress and happy this was an option because system change is essential for Earth health.  I appreciate NWEI for the EcoChallenge; for creating a virtual community of individual teams and a regionalcommunity of teams that come together to inspire and encourage one...

Had only two meals today,  both meatless.  I also had the best Eggplant Parmesan with risotto at Bird And Bear Restsurant using my Chinook Book.  For my final letter,  I wrote Wasco County Commissioners asking them to reverse the approval of rail expansion in Mosier.  Outside  1.5 hours enjoying raking up fall leaves.

I wish I felt more optimistic as to our efforts to reduce climate change.

this was fun and made me aware of what everyone can do if they are motivated...nothing like a competition to get people moving!
