I have talked about this challenge in every meeting today!

I went to the doctor today and I told the health care professional about healthy purchasing. She didn't know that make up didn't have to declare all of the ingredients. For example most make up has formaldehyde and mercury. Both chemicals of concerns because they pose a danger to health.

I wrote a public official about healthy purchasing which is less toxic purchasing.

Yesterday I bought food for houseless people. I bought fruit and veggies and gave it to a thankful street resident. I know I am suppose to go to the Food Bank or Urban Gleaners, but the store was right by a camp!

In the last two weeks, I didn't buy a single thing that I didn't need. It feels amazing! This is a big shift for me that has been coming for quite some time and this year's EcoChallenge was exactly what I needed. The impacts are incredible in every imaginable way: More money saved, less stuff to store, more time to spend with loved ones, less impact on Earth for the resources used to extract/manufacture/package/transport/use/maintain, and more focus on the beauty of experiences. Sigh. This has been a good one! :-)

I will make an effort to carry forward my 5 minute shower challenge. I've been through a few suction-cupped salt timers before - need to get another.

Thank you for the nod, Dan! This was such a fun experience and it's hard not to be enthusiastic about so many people coming together to try something new. Thank you for all you've done and continue to do.

The challenge for me is logging in, but I like it. I could bring it into a practice. It would be great to do a challenge like this at a conference. I could a 2-3-4 day conference running a challenge like this especially if it incorporated sustainable practices.

I took the time to write a letter in the form of a forum post to other government jurisdictions concerning the importance of processing E-waste with a company that practices e-steward standards or R2 certification. Of course I pointed out that e-steward is a higher standard and preferred because the waste doesn't leave our Country and many other reasons.

Great, thoughtful efforts. Thanks for doing this!
