I admit when I signed up to save water by turning off the water while we brush our teeth I thought it was something we mostly already did.   Turns out we don't.....I am much more conscious of this as well as making sure things are turned off. Thanks to the challenge.

I watched the food documentary  Cowspiracy for one of my challenges. The movie makes a pretty good  argument that a plant based diet has a  significantly less energy, water and carbon impact compared to an animal based diet. After doing a bit of  research, I have found that animal protein production takes on average 100 times more water and 10 times more energy then plant based protein production!

I signed up for this challenge because despite being fairly energy and water conscious, I love hot showers! I've been setting a timer every morning and have been pleasantly surprised that this isn't too difficult - provided that I don't zone out in the shower as I was prone to in the past.

I installed a Nest Thermostat.  Now it sits doing nothing because you don't really need to heat or cool a house between 50-70 exterior temperature.  But soon!  Soon that sucker will do amazing things!

I braved the wind and rain this morning and biked to work. It was actually pretty great to be outside for a bit!
