PBS Green Team Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Ideas for keeping up the awareness?  What was hardest? Note-To-Self (post-it?), incentives (a latte in a reusable cup of course), toot your own horn and join the real PBS Green Team!

On this last day, let's all reflect back!  How has this worked to change any old habits?

This has been a great challenge.  Thanks for the reminder to get outside more.

This was more challenging for me but it was definitely about remaining mindful of every little thing I have plugged in daily and what types of items can be easily kept unplugged if not in use.

I have been eating salads for lunch and can over indulge without guilt.
I rode to work today in moderate rain.  Watch out for leaves on the roadway.  I lost control for a second while my rear tire skidded on leaves.  It gave me a bit of a thrill.

Raegan - I "challenge" you to try a parsnip or rutabaga! These are the fall vegetables that we should all get to know.  Slice up like carrots for snacking, add to soups and stirfries!

As I am tracking my purchases each day, I see how much I spend on fancy coffee drinks!  Is it really that much better?  What about the plastic cup and straw, the mileage to the coffee shop (none nearby)? It's a break from the office, but the cumulative expense seems silly now!

I tried eggplant the other day. It was cut up and sautéed with tomatoes, squash and onions. Not too bad : )

I am enjoying all the Fall scenery on my walks.
